Wellesley College Club
A Wellesley Square stay near Lockheart
About this hotel
The Wellesley College Club offers a genuinely different setting from the Waltham hotel cluster, a quieter, campus-adjacent property five minutes from Wellesley Square and four minutes by taxi from Lockheart Restaurant for an evening meal removed from the busier golf corridor. At a 9.0 rating from 63 reviews, guests rate it well, and the Wellesley setting suits a couple or smaller group wanting a slower pace between rounds rather than the density of chain hotels around Newton and Waltham. The thirty-three-minute run to Logan is the longest of any property in this list, worth factoring in for a group with a tight flight schedule. This works best as a deliberate choice for the setting itself rather than the fastest logistics, a trade a quieter-minded couple may find worthwhile.

Our take
This suits a couple or smaller group drawn to Wellesley's quieter, campus-adjacent setting and Wellesley Square's shops and restaurants, more than a group optimizing for the shortest airport run. It is a weaker fit for a group with a tight flight schedule or one wanting to stay closest to the Newton hotel cluster.
- Budget extra time for the Logan run, since at thirty-three minutes it is the longest transfer in this hotel list.
- Walk or taxi to Wellesley Square for an evening browsing shops and restaurants away from the main golf corridor.
- Book Lockheart Restaurant ahead for dinner; it sits a short taxi ride from the property and fills on weekends.
