Gateway Hotel
Bright rooms with an airport shuttle included
Sobre este hotel
Gateway Hotel offers bright, straightforward rooms near Newport's Transporter Bridge Visitor Centre, with complimentary Wi-Fi, free parking and an airport shuttle that suits golfers flying into the region without a car. Its position gives easy access to the Transporter Bridge on a non-golf afternoon, while the shuttle service removes a separate taxi booking on arrival for a group landing together. The straightforward, kid-friendly rooms round out a base built around practicality rather than resort extras, a genuine drive from Celtic Manor's three courses. A group counting costs across several rooms finds the free parking and shuttle service add real value compared with arranging transport separately at a city-centre property. The shuttle also makes onward travel along the M4 straightforward once the golf trip itself wraps up.

Nuestra opinión
This suits a group flying into the region and wanting the airport shuttle sorted alongside a straightforward, bright room. Golfers wanting resort-style dining or wellness facilities should look toward Celtic Manor's own hotels or Coldra Court instead, since this property keeps things simple by design. It is not the right choice for a group wanting resort-style dining on-site each evening of the stay.
- Use the airport shuttle if flying in without a car; it removes the need for a separate taxi booking on arrival.
- Visit the nearby Transporter Bridge Visitor Centre on a non-golf afternoon if the trip includes any downtime between rounds.
- Confirm drive time to your booked course before arrival, since this property sits a genuine distance from Celtic Manor's three courses.
