Tŷ Newport
A reliable four-star base close to central Newport
Sobre este hotel
Tŷ Newport trades the golf estate's polish for a straightforward, well-rated city hotel a short taxi ride from Celtic Manor's three courses. Rooms come with air conditioning and the property runs its own bar and restaurant, useful for a group that wants a meal on arrival without immediately venturing out. Its position near central Newport puts an airport shuttle and a wider spread of restaurants within easy reach, which suits golfers arriving without a car or wanting evening variety beyond the resort's own dining. A group splitting the week between golf and exploring Newport itself finds this a sensible, unfussy base rather than a destination in its own right, and the smoke-free rooms keep the stay straightforward for a party travelling together across several nights.
- Airport shuttle service
- On-site bar and restaurant
- Air conditioning in rooms
- Close to Newport centre
Nuestra opinión
Tŷ Newport suits golfers who want a dependable, well-rated room close to Newport's centre rather than resort-style extras, with an airport shuttle a genuine convenience for groups flying in. It is not the base for a couple wanting a spa or fine dining on-site; those travellers should look toward the resort itself or Coldra Court instead.
- Use the airport shuttle if flying into the region without a car; it removes the need for a separate taxi booking on arrival.
- Book a taxi to the Twenty Ten Course rather than assuming a short walk; the resort's courses sit a genuine drive away.
- Check the on-site restaurant's hours before a late finish on the course, since it does not run resort-length dining hours.
