Our take
Gamla Macken suits golfers prioritizing direct course access and a quiet, focused stay. It is ideal for a society looking for uninterrupted golf or a couple seeking a peaceful retreat with rounds built into their schedule. Those expecting extensive on-site amenities beyond golf, such as a full-service spa or multiple dining venues within the immediate property, might find the offerings more modest and should consider alternatives.
- Book your tee times well in advance, especially during peak season, to secure your preferred slots on the course.
- Explore the local dining options within a short walk or drive for a change of scenery after your rounds.
- Consider visiting in the late spring or early autumn for pleasant weather and potentially fewer crowds on the fairways.
