Abbey House Hotel Reading
Simple rooms with breakfast included daily
Om det här hotellet
Abbey House keeps things simple: straightforward rooms with Wi-Fi, parking and breakfast all included in the rate, alongside a small restaurant and bar for a group that doesn't want to eat out every night. It sits eight minutes by taxi from Reading Museum and two minutes' walk from Southcote Road, roughly forty-five minutes from Heathrow by taxi. For a group whose priorities are budget and simplicity over amenities, it covers the essentials without pretension. A larger society should confirm restaurant capacity before assuming the whole group can be seated together, since the dining room here is genuinely small compared with the business hotels covered elsewhere on this list. It's a fair, no-surprises budget choice overall. It asks little of the group beyond a clean, simple room to return to each night.
- Free Wi-Fi
- Free parking
- Restaurant on-site
- Kid-friendly
Vår bedömning
This is a reasonable straightforward pick given breakfast is included alongside parking and Wi-Fi, a genuine saving over hotels that charge for each separately. The restaurant and bar are small, so a larger society should confirm capacity before assuming it can seat the whole group at once. - Confirm restaurant capacity ahead of arrival if booking as a larger group, since the dining room is small.
- Take the included breakfast rather than skipping it, since it's already covered in the room rate here.
- Walk to Southcote Road for an alternative dinner option, given it sits only two minutes from the hotel itself.

Därför älskar gästerna detHaving breakfast genuinely included rather than charged separately made the early mornings easier to manage before a first tee time, and the small on-site restaurant covered one of our group dinners without any fuss. It's not a memorable stay, but it did everything it promised without any surprise costs along the way. Not having to think about breakfast costs each morning made the whole trip's budget noticeably easier to track.
