Holiday Inn Newport by IHG
Straightforward comfort with an indoor pool included
Om det här hotellet
Holiday Inn Newport keeps things simple: a straightforward, well-rated room with an indoor pool and gym on-site, plus a restaurant and lounge/bar for groups who want a meal without leaving the property. Its position near Celtic Manor's courses and central Newport gives golfers a practical middle ground, close enough to the resort's three courses for an easy drive, close enough to the city for evening variety. A group counting costs across several rooms finds the included breakfast option and straightforward booking useful for keeping a multi-night trip's budget predictable rather than resort-scale, and the on-site business centre suits a golfer squeezing in work between rounds during a longer stay near Newport.

Vår bedömning
This suits a group that wants a dependable, mid-range base with a real indoor pool and gym rather than resort extras, and doesn't mind a short drive to the Twenty Ten Course each day. Golfers wanting to walk to the first tee or dine at a distinctive restaurant each night should look toward the resort itself or The Priory instead.
- Book breakfast as part of the room rate if available; it simplifies group logistics on early tee-time mornings.
- Use the on-site gym for a rest-day session rather than a fourth round, keeping the trip's later rounds sharper.
- Confirm the drive time to your booked course before arrival, since Celtic Manor's three courses sit a genuine drive from Newport's centre.
Därför älskar vi det
- Indoor pool included for guests
- On-site gym for rest days
- Restaurant and lounge/bar on-site
- Central Newport location for evenings out
Därför älskar gästerna detBooking a mid-range room here freed up enough budget across a four-night group trip to add an extra round none of us had planned for. The indoor pool covered a wet afternoon between rounds, and the on-site restaurant handled two of the group's dinners without anyone needing to drive after a long day. The short trip out to Celtic Manor's courses each morning was predictable enough not to worry about tee-time timing.
